Barrowhill Community Link
Barrowhill Community Link is a neighbourhood facility financed through Neighbourhood Element funding for a period of four years from 2006 to 2010. The project is intended as a pilot in order to determine the costs and benefits of locating certain frontline services within a neighbourhood setting. The wider objective is to explore the impacts that might be achieved in terms of reducing the levels of deprivation from the co-location of service providers, within particular localities, enabling the development of stronger working relationships between service providers
and service users. These relationships should have a direct impact on the way that services are designed and delivered; ultimately increasing service efficiencies and community benefits.
