Neighbourhood Wardens Report
Firstly I’d like to Thank everyone on the estate for the welcome I have received since starting on the area back in June this year.
As people are aware the wards for Mansfield District Council have changed, and since June 2011 as a warden I cover Oak Tree Ward and the adjacent ward Ransom Wood.
I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone now that any issue/incident reported to myself or the council is treated with the upmost of importance to each individual and that I will endeavor to deal with any issue/report as efficiently as I can.
To help combat the priorities set out, I have been conducting regular patrols of area’s that are effected by the ongoing issues caused by ASB, Dog Fouling, and would like to encourage people from the estate to help by reporting any form of ASB to myself, or Nottinghamshire Police on 0300 300 9999, (As of 7th November 2011 this number will be changing to 101). Only working together as a community will we all be able to Stop Anti-Social Behaviour.
Early Hours Dog Fouling patrols have been conducted in the Oak Tree area by myself, and from this I would like to thank all the dog owners I have spoken to who carry bags and who cleaned up after there pets. If anyone would like Doggy Bags then your local distributor is Barrowhill Community Link next to Oak Tree Primary school.
Fly-Tipping has become a priority due to the fact that some people think its ok to leave their unwanted items out on the street? This is an offence and anyone found to be committing this offence will be prosecuted and liable of a fine of up to £50.000.
If anyone needs any unwanted item collecting and disposing of please contact Mansfield District Council on 01623 463463, Up to 3 items collected for £19, and £5.70 each item over the 3.
